Exactly, I think he's probably just got it wrong though as they don't look anything like ET0!!

I can't tell for sure, but ET0 means that the mounting face is on the centre line of the rim, so it would have a huge boss protruding from rear of the centre & I can't see one!

The seller has just confirmed that the fronts are, in fact, ET 46!!

The rears are ET21.5, so these wheels are pretty much ideal for a Z3M, although they would probably benefit from some thin spacers to fill the arches.

Taking those bloody horrible spoke inserts out might help with the sale

the fronts are normally et 43 and ACS recommend a 7mm spacer to bring it down to et 36, the rears would need a 20mm spacer
to give you et 1.5 for correct fitting to a MC or 3mm front and 7mm rear for a E46 M3 based on et 43 front.

I tried my new rears on the car at the weekend: 295/30/18 on 10.5" ET27 rim. I removed the springs and jacked the suspension up to meet the bump stops and I had approximately 8mm clearance between the tyre & the return edge of the arch & about 7mm to the fwd, upper corner of the bumper. With a 5mm spacer fitted the gaps reduced to 3mm & 2mm respectively, which to my mind is pushing it a bit!!

Given what I found on mine, I would say that 20mm would be too much spacing on the rear, assuming a 265/30/19 tyre, I would say that 12 or 15mm would be the maximum.

See how the two set-ups compare here

I have these wheels and am running a 20mm rear spacer as ACS recommend - fits/looks perfect.

Hmmm, strange, from what I've seen that shouldn't work, but I guess it must!! Take it you don't get any rubbing Dave?

no rubbing at the back with 265/30/19 tyres - I will try and dig out a side view picture

Looks to me like it would rub the arch/bumper before meeting the bump stops!
