  • DC12 tomorrow

    DC12 is tomorrow at Turweston airfield, went last year, mainly full of VW and Audi.
    There where quite a few BMW there and some stands, not any really good stands and nowhere to shelter if it rains which it will do tomorrow.
    Cant make my mind up to which car to go in, haven't driven the M3 for a month so my take it so it gets a run.

    I took the Z3MC in the end and it was the only one there, there weren't any E30 M3s either.
    Weather held off and I even got sunburn.
    This is the sort of show if you like them (VAG) low and slow, though there were a lot of BMWs this year.

            Couple more of the MC from today


            I know I need to have some new plate made up but can't decide whether to get a cherished plate or not, it doesn't hide the age they are what they are, just nice to have a shorter plate, my M3 has one and so does the Mrs Golf.

              It was from St Albans, Indy,
              The had owned it for 9 years, it has a BMW service history till he owned it then just a local little garage has been servicing it since, looks like it only had oil changes and an oil rag rubbed on it since.
              It's going to have a proper service next week, it's flat at the moment, it pulls a little at 2,500 rpm with the vanos but nothing at higher revs.
              It's going to be checked for air leaks and see if the small bung is still in it, going to have a proper inspection 2 then if it still ain't right Dr Vanos can sort it out.
              The oil pressure switch need replacing as it flashes on start up then goes off, but those swiches are £90 odd from BMW, can they be bought for a cheaper price elsewhere ?

                      yes, i know of it, its not far from me (never been there) so thats not where i know the car from

                      still cant figure it out, ive probably spotted it somewhere, just dont know where or when
