After your requests to supply a complete kit comprising of a Storm weighted gearknob and replacement bushes to greatly improve shift feel and precision, i have a proposal.
I can easily supply the standard bushes required for the gearlever arm - however one of these bushes is rubber and will very quickly allow excess movement in the gearstick again. So I am intending to replace this bush with some machined from Acetal as an uprated version of the OEM. The rest will still be standard. Acetal is a hard engineering plastic which will reduce this excess "slop" thus improving the overall shift. The Americans already use these types of aftermarket bushes to improve their mechanism.
What are your thoughts on this? I cannot confirm prices yet as I need to machine a prototype to work that out. Would you prefer just to put all the standard ones back in, or go for the a combination of standard and the one I will machine?
