  • Alarm Tell Tale-Where??

    Gents,

Where is the alarm tell tale led?

I have one on my original BMW business radio cassette (old skool eh...) but the handbook says there should be another. Where is it?

Sorry, I am security conscious having been car-jacked twice before.......

    Cheers, Guy

      Its behind you!

More exactly, next to the heated rear window switch between the seats.

ps I've done 75K miles in mine, but just went out to check!

Am beginning to notice the little things like this on the S54 ...
With a spare slot next to the heated seat controls, why the hell is the rear window switch not there - as per the S50'?!!!

The M Coupe ... For those who understand, no explanation is needed. For those who do not understand, no explanation is possible.

            Now ... S54: Sapphire Black/Black-Black/HK+6/Cruise/Sun Roof/H~Lamp wash///ACS Road Suspension/Rogue Engineering rear top mounts/Braided clutch hose
            RIP ... S50: Artic Silver/Black-Grey/HK+6/Cruise/Side 'bags/Grad Tint///ACS Short Shift/Strong Strut/K&N/HIDs & Angels

I believe the DSC button is where the heated screen was in the s50. You will probably find that the roof button is where the blanking switch is in the s54 roadster so they can have 1 loom for both roadster and coupe by putting the rear screen switch here. Is a bit silly though but not enough hassle to bother changing.

Hows the new car ? happy with it ?

yup - u might be right, i 'may' look to see if the switch can be re-located to the panel with the other switches.

yup - so far so good, few minor niggles (such as the boot gas strut(s) may need replacing) but those aside ... is nice!!
