  • Ellmore's Estoril Blue M Coupe (warning: lots of pics!!!)

rather than clutter up the for sale thread, i thought it would be best to make a separate thread here, as there are a lot of pics and may take a while to load for some even though they are not massive in size, there is 88 pics in total here!!!

can only fit 15 pics per post, and this is prob quicker than uploading to the gallery and easier to view them all on one page too.

    so here goes!

    (in no specific order)

                    Thanks again Indy

Indy kindly offered to post these pics of my M coupe for me as i had sent them to him a few weeks back. Indy was interested in the car as was a few others, but unfortunately to my expense and embarrassment i found out that my car is Cat d. I only found this out a few weeks ago due to people doing H.P.I Checks. And YES i know it was my fault! But personally i seem to trust what people tell me as I'm the honest type my self...in the future i shall be more careful.

As you all could imagine this has taken me through many different emotions.

The car was on pistonheads as "H.P.I Clear" - i would obviously never have been that stupid if i had known about it

So all this comes as I'm looking to part with my car after nearly 3 yrs of Amazing ownership due to the need for more seats, and an opportunity to stay with the M division and buy a E46 M3 that has been family owned since new. Ironically the M3 is also a Cat d which i wont go into...at least not yet anyway.

I was lucky to have had a photocopy of an old v5 doc from the first owner and thought i would write to him, but lucky i found him on Facebook! The guy replied saying he was on a race track and had a minor frontal accident but unfortunately had cracked the bottom of the block therefore needed a new new engine. By the sounds of it the guy wasn't covered for track use so had the work done privately...but I'm still trying to find out as much as i can. he seems to have a fair bit of cash as he said he owns several nice cars but wanted to buy the car back as he said better the devil you know and all that, but unfortunately we cant come to a price that I'm happy with having payed well over the odds for it myself.(obviously not knowing it was cat d)

The accident was all the way back in 2001 about 18 mnths after it was first registered so it was along time ago.

I bought the car in 07 with the understanding that the service history had been lost at 21k and had done alot of research since owning the car but couldn't find out anymore about it.....obviously

But now it all makes sense as that was when the engine replacement was.

However the car runs perfect! and have never had a problem with it.

My specialist who has been servicing the car since I've had it cant even tell its been in an accident, i even had it checked by another specialist when i bought the car and he couldn't tell either.

I know now i cant get what i want for it or at least a good return on what i payed for it.

                    What do you guys think?

                    Thanks in advance

                    Ellmore

By the way it's a '99' s Reg, 67k, Bilstein front strut units, Bilstein Rear dampers, Eibach antil-roll bar kit and it handles and holds the road like a dream.

Actually, ellmore, I can't figure out a price at all as the PH add's dead and there doesn't seem to be a price listed on the For Sale thread either. Might be a good idea to clarify what kind of cash you're looking for.

Good look with the sale, looks to be in great condition!

Hi Guys i have just re-listed the car on PistonHeads for 8799k I have all Documents (service etc) from 2007 with m.o.t's from 2004, Drivers Manual, 2 keys, Receipt for suspension and Anti-roll bar kit etc

Stoney- I have no idea where the sound proofing has gone, I can only presume it wasn't replaced all those years ago

                              Cheers Guys
