  • 3M protective tape

I got some of this stuff to protect my bike.
I wondered if anyone had used it on the sills (or anywhere else) . Anyone recommend it for car care?
    Cheers

I put some heavy duty paint protector film on the leading edge of my sill covers and it stayed in place for a couple of years. You do need to make sure the area is totally grease free though to get a decent bond obviously.

Unfortunately, I didn't notice that one of them had come off and I've subsequently picked up a paint chip where it would have been protected. Typical!

      Ok that sounds good, Tony
Any particular brand you would recommend?

The stuff I've fitted was just left over bits from the Ventureshield kit that I bought for my last bike, made my 3M if I remember correctly

While my car isn't just used in dry weather, it's not really exposed to use in heavy rain, so I'm not sure how will the film will stand up the bucket loads of water sprayed up from the front wheels at speed in standing water.
