Speed signal

Hello,

I am looking to fit an electronic tripmaster in my 1999 M Coupé to participate in some regulatory rallyes.

On the rear diff there is a pulse generator producing a speed signal for the dash speedometer and for the radio device (pin 10 on the radio connector).

Is this signal analog or digital ?

It is very important to know to choose the right interface for the tripmaster.

I am looking for a Brantz Int 2S Pro or for a Monit Q-20.
