A small oil leak on the rear right side.

Also the passenger footwell has let water in (common problem can be caused by a number of things)

Hopefully just little niggles as I'm in love with the car!

Strasse were superb last time, fingers crossed for the same. It's still under their three month purchase warranty. When it's over I think I'll get an insurance warranty from warranty wise or the like ( will start the research soon).

The oil leak is the one you need to get sorted then as I could imagine it could get pricey.

What is an independent warranty now, £100 a month?

Took my car back to Leeds to the dealer today. They had a courtesy car ready but by the time the girlfriend had finished shopping my car was ready.

Oil leak was caused by an aluminium washer on the belt tensioner ( or similar).

Soaked carpet just some drain holes near the battery that were blocked with gunk.

Hopefully all sorted now. Again the guys at Strasse were excellent, really nice family business and despite the couple of niggles a pleasure to do business with. Fingers crossed that's the last time I see them though till the cars next service in 12 months.

They were servicing a 996 GT2 in speed yellow. Every inch a supercar. One of the best looking Porsches I've seen in a while. They always have some special porkers in ( www.strasse.co.uk)

If I had one of those I'd get the 997 look front end conversion, looks really good and gets ride of those fried egg headlamps.

Jesus Chris. You'll be making an Audi TT look like an R8 with a body kit next...

Not the best front end I agree but more stigma than substance and although ugly the front end has a lot of presence. 997tt is gorgeous just wish I could afford one!

Ha Ha, those conversions are just wrong even if well executed!

The fried egg lights are different and with the gaping front bumper really give it that menacing look, something the softer 997 doesn't have.

i have seen some front end conversions, and a few have looked really good + good panel line up's etc, but doesnt look right if you just do the front end on a 996, and all the rear end conversions ive seen (except 1! but i cant find the pics!!!) are cack

what the feck is this

YUCK (it even has the matching puke savannah interior!)

+ all the replicas are based on regular C2 crap spec models (non turbos... thank feck for that ) and they are priced WELL over £20k, so just doesnt seem worth it when you can even pick up an early 997 for around £25k (some are even 20k with really high miles now, but theyre prob crap)
