What about suspension, does anyone know if the standard struts/springs weigh more/less than say KW items??

I have wondered about that aswell.
My old ARB, springs, shockers are out the back. When it dries out properly I will weigh them all and then try to find out the weights of the bits now on the car from the manufacturers (yes I know I should have done that before they were fitted).

Some more weight info, measured by me... It would be great if coupe fan could add it to first page for some future reference.

secondary air pump with pipes: 4.8 kg

kw v3 front strut with springs (wo top mount): 5.7 kg
kw v3 rear strut with spring (wo top mount): 5.0 kg

          bbs rc304 17x8": 7.4 kg
          bbs rc302 17x8.5": 7.8 kg
          bbs rc300 18x8.5": 8.7 kg
          bbc rk011 18x8.5": 8.7 kg

Just for amusement, I've weighted some worn tires:
          conti sc2 225/45/17, 25% thread: 8.4 kg
          goodyear f1 a 245/40/17, 50% thread: 10.5 kg
          michelin p.sport 275/35/18, 50% thread: 11.3kg

Michelins and Contis are very light tires as new.. Goodyears not so.

Yea the Supersprint are really light aren't they! I have Eisenmann Road and they are the same weight as stock (ie heavy!)

I didn't weigh the Prospeed I fitted to mine a few weeks back but must have been at least this kind of saving

How are you adjusting to the Prospeed setup now Ian?

Getting there I think! They are so much louder than before but becoming accustomed to them, with the 200 cell cats it certainly feels more responsive and keen to rev.

The annoying this is the check engine light having come on.....

If you find the cause of the check engine light coming on I would be real interested. Mine has come and gone for over 10 years, 200K miles now. Not been on for a while though.
S54 Titan Silver metallic. Black leather, most factory options including sunroof, Becker Cascade and Becker Silverstone changer.

Great, mileage added carbon build up does make a noticeable difference.

When the Exhaust is at track day temperatures the sound varies a lot more in pitch. For me it is a shame the S54 M Coupe doesn't have the same metallic sound as the E46 M3/Z4M.

Yea, I find the hotter it gets, the boomier it gets. It's at it's most raspy when cold/just warm.
