  • For those with BECKER headunits - "socket C" outputs?

    I've got a BECKER Mexico Pro headunit in my Coupe with HK upgrade and have until now used a standard ISO connectors. This means that the amp is receiving high volume inputs instead of the "proper" pre-amp inputs.

    I've bought another ISO connector for "BMW upgrade sound systems" which has half an ISO connector for the power, illumination etc and four phono/RCA cables for connecting to the pre-outs.

    However, there are no Phono/RCA socket pre-outs on the back of the headunit, just a "socket C" which has small pins and looks like it should have a unique Becker lead connected to it which the headunit never came with.

    How have other people with a similar setup connected it up? is there a cable available for this socket (did you headunit come with it?).

    Yes you need this third plug and then to insert the connections pins as appropriate (output/input diagrams should be within your instruction manual or available from the Becker website). If you email becker.de via their website they'll refer you to the UK service outfit that should send you out the bits FOC or for a very small charge (they sent out sub aux connectors for my cascade foc).

    I have actually got a spare set but can't find them for the life of me.

      From memory, I'm pretty sure that I used one of these:

      Google for "mini iso to rca".

        Thanks for the above replies!

        I didn't realise "mini ISO" connectors existed! I assumed it was a specific Becker connector but the socket is actually made up of 3 mini ISOs so have orderd one from the above link.

          I bought both suitable leads but have now decided I can't be bothered faffing removing the radio so have put them both on ebay at reduced prices. Neither have been used;
