New idler pulley fitted due to the fact it would whine from time to time, although a little squirt of WD40 would silence it again. Better to have a new one on there though

Having developed air leaks in 3 of my ACS Type III wheels/tyres and with no sign of punctures, I've 4 new valves on the way. Exciting times

I'm also replacing the front brake lines which have seen better days. A cleanup and a new coat of paint would probably see them last another couple of years, but might as well do the job properly

I took my MC off the road for a couple of months this year in order to move it's MOT expiry day to one NOT in the middle of winter - it sailed through the test again yesterday. So, so good to drive it again

Booked in for a service next week.

Nice to have a Mercedes-AMG GT pull alongside us in the MC on the M1 today and give the car a thumbs up

Well what a perfect day for the MC to reach 72,000 miles... beautiful sunshine and it seems most people have headed in to Leeds to watch the final day of the Tour de Yorkshire. Thank you most people

Just got the car back from service. While, by the book it should have been an Inspection II service, my indy suggested that with 3 service lights showing, and only 1000 miles covered since the last service, that it made sense to just do an oil service and change the brake fluid this time, without resetting the service indicators

Sorted out the ASC handbrake handle this afternoon. It has started to work loose and rotate a little. Simple job to slip out the gaiter from the rear, turn it inside out to reveal the fastenings of the handle (3 grub screws) one of which had vibrated out and is lost forever. Enough adjustment in the other two to hold it in place while I source another (which will have Loctite applied, unlike when fitted nearly 20 years by a BMW dealer )

Just collected the Coupe after a week with MW Bodyworks in Elvington, who came highly recommended, for some TLC on the underside. They’ve done a great job removing any surface rust on the sill rails and belly. Now looking way better protected from the elements for the future, and wax oiled inside the rails as well.

                          New ‘wickerbills’(?) too. Bonus, ha

Selection of photos taken throughout the underneath refurb:

Do you have part numbers for those ducts?
