Thanks chaps. I've ummmed and arrrred over a plate for ages and have been struggling to decide on which way to go.

I love the idea behind D4FT M for an MC - just seems to suit the concept of the car so well.

Do any of you have much experience with bending the pressed plates?

It looks like the bend for the front will fall inline with one of the pressed verticals and I'm wondering if that will be a problem?

It's more of a curve though so it shouldn't be concentrated in the centre.

i had metal/german plates with german lettering on

To bend the front round to match the car better i just used a few bricks :)
Put one in the middle underneath the plate, then a couple on each end on top of the plate. Left it for a day and the bend was almost perfect!
Stuck it on with sticky pads... until the plod made me take it off :(

              Cheers chaps

I've decided to have the plates made up as UK legal (bar the spacing) by Dubmeister rather than going for the German style plates, but no doubt it's only a matter of time before the old bill have a word anyway.

But how can you get an eight (8) to look anything like an "A" other than by using a yellow screw? If you get the plate made with an "A" instead of an "8" you are clearly putting a false registration on the car.

One of my cars has a 5-character registration with a "4" in it which I've had made to look as much like a "H" as possible (i.e minus the lower left leg of a "H"). It's clearly a "4" but because it's not in the accepted typeface, when I drive through number plate recognition cameras, it really confuses them because the software "thinks" there are no numbers in the registration.

i was referring to the "numper" plate screws.

                        not number plate screws

I've got so used to reading posts with all manner of spelling mistakes I must have become immune to them.

I guess you could try rubbing the black paint off until it shows the yellow underneath, that could happen by accident with the raised lettering of a pressed metal plate (honestly officer)!!
