  • Spark plugs : NGK or Denso ?

    Hi,

TIS seems to state for S50B32 :

    NGK PKR 7A - ECE
NGK BKR 6 EQUP - ECE as of 9/98

Could you help with the language : what does "ECE" here stand for ?

I am currently running Iridium PKR 7A plugs without issues but faintly remember seen somewhere somebody claiming that some Denso model would be even better ?

Anyone having experience on Denso Iridiums and possible remembering what was the type of those (for S50B32) ?

    Thanks !

I always run NGK in all my engines, the platinum ones were the OE to my S50.

      https://www.amazon.com/NGK-PKR7A-Las.../dp/B001RLTSRW
      https://www.amazon.com/NGK-BKR6EQUP-.../dp/B000GX9FSY

These both types seem to be branded as "laser platinum".

PKR 7A is with sharp tip center electrode + single ground electrode where the center electrode seems to be made of iridium (survives high temperatures).

BKR6EQUP is of more traditional design with 4 ground electrodes.

I suppose that PKR 7A is the uppgraded one ?

Have always used PKR 7's,i always get surprised that lots of people when trying to track a fault miss the plug's,and dont change them.

I think ECE means "Economic Commission of Europe"
