  • Insurance Valuation

I'm struggling with covering the car on guaranteed value.
Companies saying too young for classic Ins and market value applies. WHats market value???? I tried to value and all I find is too specialist to value!
Company asking for written valuation on car. Where / who does that?
    Any help advice please.

BMW CC offer a valuation service - give them a bell.

Ahhh. I'm not a member but may have to rethink that.

See extract from BMWCC website regarding agreed valuation.

"Valuations cost £24.99 for club members and £49.98 for non-members. Payment can be made by cheque to the club office or by debit/credit card by calling the club office. Photos should be sent at the same time. Our valuers should normally get back to you within*6 weeks."

Have a look on the website under the "Club" drop down. You can download valuation form and all the details to get the job done.

Had mine done earlier this year, easy to do, just need a bit of time to pull all the info & photo's together. Got mine done in approx 3 weeks from sending it off, but don't take that as a guarantee of how long, it may take longer.

Try Manning Insurance, I got a better quote from them than my previous insurer after requesting a new higher agreed value. Definitely not too young for classic car status, you just have to approach the right companies.

I joined BMW CC just to benefit from insurance discount which was over £100.

As well as receiving some nice reading material, the agreed valuation option is also good.

I would suggest everyone gets an agreed value.

Try Classicline as well, they will do it as a modern classic. They will do agreed value with photos. I have put a value of £35k on mine and that was agreed OK. 1998 with 53k.

Also have a 2012 997 Turbo S insured with them under a 'Future Classic' policy

Brill thanks. Its Manning who have given a decent quote so far but insurance is due on 28th so pressure is on

Me too. You fill out a form with history etc, send the required photos, and they will agree a value.

I got insured with agreed value 3 weeks ago with Hegarty via A Plan Insurance.

My brother in law runs a branch of A Plan and might be able to help.

Pm me and I'll send you his number.

All I had to do was send 6 pics of the car; front, back sides and engine bay.

                        Bizarre.

Just got my renewal through from Footman James for an e36 m3 and a z3mcoupe.

2.5 times the price on the coupe compared to last year, m3 largely the same.

Retained the m3 for track days, z3mcoupe elsewhere now.

                        Insurance is a scam

Insured my 2000 S50 at Mannings Uk for £267 in May which included an agreed value. Popped into the local BMW garage, received a valuation on official BMW headed paper all FOC. Good enough for Manning UK.
