  • Which Cover?

So, now my new toy is safe at home I need an decent cover as she has to live on the drive.
I looked through the archives and saw that a few different makes had croped up, I've spoken to this company:
    http://www.thecovercompany.co.uk/car_covers.html
and they've given me the prices as follows:

    Weathershield £370
    Stormproof £289
    Noah £265
    Mosom £229

The Noah and Mosom are triple layered and heavier which they said can make them more hassle to put on/off due to weight, but perhaps will withstand being treated a little rough from the outside, the other 2 are single layer and more storm proof.
What do folks on here have?

    Cheers

I have owned three of them Mags in the past go for the Noah its the best. You can put it on in wind etc and does not scratch the paint.

      Cheers AJL,

I just called covercraft and got much cheaper prices!

      Weathershield £320
      Noah £240

He explained that as the Noah is thicker it helps provide an element of protection from falling conkers, kids bikes etc etc, allthough the Weathersied is ultimatley stronger.

      Decisions decisions....

When you put the cover on you can undo the aerial by unscrewing it. Or you can make a small hole in the cover so you dont have to remove the aerial.

I would advise unscrewing the aerial as the cover will then let in moisture and rain!

It reminds me when you have to park your car in london with a permit which means people have to make a hole in their cover for a permit

Cool, many thanks guy's, I've ordered the Noah from the US, a bargain!
That site also has a useful PDF guide to which cover, the Noah makes perfect sense. just a shame its only in grey, would have liked a black cover for the added stealthiness!

Look forward to meeting some of you guy's soon.

This is what I had from them via e-mail
                          EXTERNAL Catalog Item 1 $176.59 $176.59
                          ITEM: Cover: 2001 BMW Z3 COUPE Coupe (2 Door)/2 Mirror Pockets/ Size G2 2 Mirror Pockets - NOAH®
                          CODE: C15695NH
                          PRICE: 176.59

I have to say I'm pleased with the cover, its a good fit. I didn't order the cable as I don't need to lock it, I got a long bungee cord and use this to tether it down in the wing under the car.
