Not too sure how Hexagon's are still in business.
I went to buy their Z4M Roadie a couple of weeks ago, drove down from Brum especially to see it and liked it.
I found myself back in London a couple days later, called the chap and said I wanted to drive it and bash out the deal....
'Oh no, sorry Mr Breadvanman, we're not looking to to do a deal with it, the price is the price albeit a couple of quid maybe, even though we've both agreed the car hasn't moved since it arrived in our showroom last MAY!!!!
Hang on I thought, I haven't even offered a figure yet (surely an essential intro to the negotiation?)
..I then thought they guy might call me back, but now I see they've since INCREASED the sticker price!!
Is it a showroom or museum?BMW 1M Coupe (sold)
BMW Boxercup Replika
Apparently, other manufacturers do exist.....

Don't forget it's a privately owned dealership, so it hasn't got to achieve any sales targets like all the usual main dealers,( well, you know what i mean ), i think that's why they can be like they are.
As I have said before, they source their cars from the same places that you and i look at every day, but they are in a position to do the deal there and then.
I'm the same when searching for a car, haggle, haggle ,haggle, then want to go and look at the car, then maybe go away and think about it etc etc etc.
I had quite a few people interested in my car, ( contrary to what has been said by certain people ), but they took an age to come back to me.
So when you get someone like hexagon ring you up, ask a couple of questions, make you an offer, you say no, they then say, "we will ring you back in a minute", they do, then aggree your price, well, what are you going to do.
I know things are different when you are buying for a living as opposed to buying for personal use, but come on, some cars are shouting out, " come buy me" 'nough said.Last edited by steve1; 19-02-2011, 05:26 PM.2002 phoenix yellow. "V3RY M" lives on, but on another beast.

Had similar with them a coupleof years back when I phoned to enquire about a silver S54 they had.
Conversation was cut short when Ahmed (iirc ) told me in passing I shouldn't bother making the trip to view the car unless I was bringing the asking price with me. I had money to spend and knew I wanted another MC. Had already asked a number of technical and pertinent questions. Clearly wasn't a timewaster but he didn't want to know. I hadn't even intimated I wanted to haggle....
Don't know what his problem was and frankly didn't care. The dealer principal seems to have a good rep. Shame about the salesman reallyex- 2000 Titanium Silver S50 with AC Schnitzer road suspension, exhaust, rear wing and gear knob

Plus they are based in Highgate where people just turn up and splash out 30k on a car without thinking. Thats why they get their prices
I owned a blue roady a couple of years back with just 12k on the clock - originally an IOM car brought to the UK by Hexagon. When calling them to do my homework they say they alway like buying the early M cars and they always sell well. Having a lairy car like steves is a good window car and whilst it'll do nothing but hold or gain money its a no brainer for a business

doubt they need help selling what they have in stock, last time i went there was a low miles Z3M, Z1, Z8, E34 M5 and many others sitting in the showroom + even some tasty cars sitting outside!
their sales are in patience, not desperation.

link for those that think the hexagon name only relates to BMW's.
http://www.hexagonclassics.com/sales.asp
theyre right next door to cars international (who has a HUGE reputation and is a related company!) behind lamborghini london, located in the 'blind money spender' part of london
alot of their cars end up getting exported into collections or into countries where they werent available to buy from new!

thats actually news to me!
for some reason i thought cars international still existed and they were sister companies or something.
any ideas whats happened to the orange f1 gtr longtail that was in their showroom a while back? heard its being redone into a racecar again (yellow/blue parabolica livery!)
ive never been to the HRO place before, didnt know where it was, but have heard of it
will have to go back and have a look to see whats changed since the last time i window shopped
do you know of any local F1's? or where i could see one in the london area?Last edited by indy; 18-02-2011, 09:48 AM.

Not sure if Cars International sold the F1 or not, it's certainly not been in their window for a couple of years.

taylor & crawley is on the same road as 'the grenadier'?
ive never seen it (the company/garage?) is it part of someones house (david clark maybe) or something, as there isnt a showroom there thats visible from the road
(nasty road to drive on, went down there in the MC once! )
its possible the london silver cars are one of the following, you may know different
F1 MCL
K50 BAT
R66 MCL
