The roady's are all in the same batch of VINS so I presume the coupes are as well ?

You get the full spec list of every car including options, whether it was a press car and even the country it was prepped for.

        1. Click http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/homepage/
        2. From the BMW Owner Area menu, choose Genuine BMW Parts
        3. From the menu on the left had side of the page click Parts Catalogue
        4. From the lower part of the screen click Electronic parts catalogue. Find genuine spare parts and accessories for your BMW.
        5. Use the username eu111111 and the password bmwetk1
        6. Enter the last 7 digits of your VIN number and click >>
        7. From the top of the next window, click Options. This displays a new window with the information on extras

You will need to do this for each VIN (I did it for all 73 RHD S54 Roady's). I printed each to PDF and then compiled a spreadsheet cross referencing each VIN to all options.

So if you have the VIN ranges you don't need any help to do it, just a few hours

Here is the Roady one with all of the WebETK prints for each car as an example:

        Have fun

How can you see the intended country code from this?

I cant seem to see it anywhere?

        In: 98 S50 Estoril.......

if the car was not intended for UK, it will tell you, or there will at least be hints/signs! (KMH speedo etc)

ok so to add some really interesting information (well for me at least ha ha) it was confirmed by a contact at BMW.

the 1 unknown destination car, was supposedly sent to Sri Lanka!
would never have guessed that, dont have any pics of it, would be really cool to find out if it still exists!

                      ===============================================

also on another note, i had misplaced one of the UK cars during my original count!!!

                      so there was 1 missing
but its not an extra car! i had it down as an SA car, and it was originally a UK one.

so this now develops recounted stats.

now i have the following details:

                      • 123 cars for UK
                      • 39 cars for SA
                      • 2 cars for AUS
                      • 1 car for SRI LANKA
the total still makes 165 RHD cars worldwide, and i havent yet come across any info to change that.

eventually when i can be satisfied enough to publish any info as factual, i will post all details up on here for all to see

im still working towards trying to get more info on the SA cars, since the whole 35 or 40 confusion (which i think is now 35 or 39 )

123, easy to remember, quite an elite club!

Any idea how many LHDs were produced?

I have added the colour break down on the "stats" thread for the 123 UK S54's and have started on the S50's which will take a while longer!
