I am looking at getting the Halfords Professional tool chest set as my Christmas present, has anybody got these if so what are they like or can you recommend another make at similar pricing.

      Aceman,

I would step up to the "industrial" version if I was you:

Due to some pricing cock up a while back + a discount code I got both of the above for £200. I would have still been happy with the price/quality if I had paid around £350.

Go in store and you will feel the difference. The industrial can allegedly take twice the weight in the drawers.

      Thanks,

      Jon

I bought one of these Halfords 200 piece sets a few months back when they were £150, great value for money and a very comprehensive set. One point of criticism though is that the sockets when fitted on the ratchet handles are not a 100% tight fit, you notice this looseness when using an extension bar etc. overall very happy with it though.
As Jon_Bmw says, I would step up to the industrial chests if you’re looking at one from Halfords, they are better built and larger so that the 200 piece kit fits. I went for a 26” one from SGS but now wish I’d gone for a 36”, typical…

p.s. remember that once you have the cabinet full with all your tools, not to open all the drawers at once....
