  • Evening All - Fallen In Love, Advice Required!!

    Hi All,

I'm a new member who's fallen in love!

I've put down a deposit on a recently advertised Z3M Coupe.

I've taken her on a very short first date (test drive) and have committed to her whilst knowing very little about this amazing love interest.

What i do know after researching this great fountain of knowledge is that she was previously married to a member of this site.

His previous posts state a number of you have gone on double, even group dates with them before and that back in the day he used to ride her pretty fast and loose at times, to the annoyance of some!

Over the last 6 years she's only covered circa 20k as she divorced him with 83k on the clock. I'm not sure who she's been pleasuring during this period!

My question is what kind of condition was she in when they separated, was she well looked after during their 12 month marriage and is parting with £12950 a reasonable price to pay for a lady of this mature age after a full inspection by Darren Woods where by any issues will be sorted by the vendor at DW's for a stock non surgically enhanced future wife with 103k on the clock?

If any of you have any advice or experience with her or in general I would be eternally grateful the DW inspection is on Wednesday!

    Best wishes

    Jamie

PS. Apologies for the longwindedness of this message but I've had a few beers!

Welcome to the forum Darren Woods BMW know these cars very well and are well aware of any common problems so having it checked by them is a very good start to coupe ownership.

Thanks. Quite fortunate then that they are local to the vendor in Stockport plus he is quite insistant that they are the only garage he trusts to inspect and carry out any work required on the car.

I'll let you know the outcome on Wednesday.

Sounds like a great position to be in that the seller is happy for an inspection by a recognised specialist in these cars and they are footing the bill, accordingly I would not worry too much about what this car was like, it's what it's like now that's important

I had the seller put mine into Darren Woods before I traveled down to view/ buy the car. Had a chat with one of the workshop guys on the phone about it which is always good in getting an opinion from someone other than the seller (especially if they're familiar with the coupe). It was given a full vehicle inspection and diagnostic scan for about 45 quid I think. A great idea if your unsure about the anything.
