Newbie with too many questions......

Hi All

I've just agreed a price and paid a deposit on an Estoril Z3MC and being based in Jersey want to get some work done to it whilst collecting it from the "Mainland".

Looks as though the car will need at the very least a re-gass of the air con, perhaps new condenser. Any suggestions or recommendations of where to get this looked at? Reasonable pricing, quality work? I'm picking the car up from Manchester and will be travelling down to Poole, so geographically quite flexible?

Second matter is I'm considering a shadow chrome refurb, I think there may be a forum member who's recommended from my research, but anybody got ideas on price?

Hey, I got the shadow chrome from a company called The Wheel Specialists. They are national but there is a branch in Fareham. Drive in and out in the same day :)

Ragerover, that's great to know. Based in Jersey, we don't have Kwik Fit, so would never have known that. I may give them a try. I'm assuming it's nationwide and not just specific places?

I guess at least that way I'll know if it's a leak in the condenser or something of equal annoyance.

I know a place in Manchester that will do a regass for around £25/30, possibly less.
