Hi All,
Might as well put my pennyworth in. Clutch near the floor, difficulty engaging gears, sound familiar?
another convert to the earls braided hose, bit of a pig to break the connection on the inner wing. If you haven't already get a good set of brake hose spanners (worth their weight!). Followed Bentley manual for bleeding, removed slave cylinder & used a clamp to compress pin all the way in then pressure bled. Also took panel out under steering column to get easy access to pedals, gave them a grease & oil. still a bit sticky so squirted silicone spray into top of master cylinder tube (where it leads off pedal), everything smoothed out nicely after this. then changed trans fluid, Fuchs Titan 75w-80 synthetic MTF.
WOW, talk about a difference & getting better with every drive.
Many thanks to all contributors on this forum, I am merely reinforcing information already on here.
You made me swallow hard & have a go, feels more like a sports car than a tractor now!!
