    Was looking at ways to tidy mine up, came across this...

    did the same to mine but the colour of the high temp black paint is more charcoal than black,



    I have since bought some high temp "crackle" paint which I will try instead

              I have just read the instructions on the tin I have and that says use at room temperature not below 21 degrees C but I would think
              I could get the engine warm and then spray it - may try tomorrow and will take some pictures.

                          yes Halfords black high temp spray paint - gives a good finish its just the colour is very greyish.
