Not sure but I think you may be down on power without the maf connected?

New Bosch mafs from dealers are about £450 but you can pick up the same from ebay Germany for less than half of this normally

Try these guys, I found they did a good job for another BMW: https://www.atpelectronics.co.uk/

You can get an Alpha N map which deletes the MAF, however it runs a default map. Should be fine done on a RR

              maf

quick update ,back in garage today and there were no codes showing so decided to clean icv and found the hose leading from icv to air box had split in halfe.after an hour in the local scrap yard i managed to find a hose that was same diameter and bends which will do as a temp and problem solved.i also had my prop shaft off for new center bearing and ballance so all is good .

I bought a brand new BOSCH maf from Germany when I was chasing a low power issue (it didn't solve the issue but it was a brand new maf for about £160). My issue turned out to be a faulty knock sensor.

Some on ebay BOSCH for about that price, so your garage at £155 is a decent price.
