  • Bootfloor/subframe repair..

    Hi guys,

Have not had my m coupe inspected for boot floor/subframe cracks yet. However, in the event that cracks are found, who in the U.K. Specialises in repairing? What kind of money are we looking at to get this done?

Just to add, can it all be inspected by myself? I'm not a mechanic but can be pointed in the right direction?

My Coupe has recently had the cracks in the boot floor rectified by JTH Performance in Buckinghamshire. I have worked with James for 2 years and his knowledge and detail is very hard to find at a reasonable cost per hour. After many hours working on my Coupe he knows his way around them pretty well.

Best to give James a call so he can talk you through your options versus cost.

The start of it (fractured/failed spot welds) can only be seen once the sound deadening is scraped back. In a roadster it is easy to see them as the bootfloor does not have deadening stuck on it. If you can see cracks underneath or in the boot when just removing the trim then it's gone further.

does anyone have the p/n for the sound deadening?

i've got to scrape mine off, would be nice to replace it when I'm done.
