All that money and you get THAT steering wheel, I would have though at GT2 would warrant something more befitting than that 4-spoke effort!!

Ive had 996 turbo, GT2 and C4s as well as 997 turbo and 964 and 3.2.
Whoever said the narrow body 993's are crap does not know his porsches. Apart from GT2 the widebody 993's are considered a bit lardy. Turbo is a good GT/cruiser but if you want a nimble car go for a NB C2. 996 turbo ok if you like turbo cars but unless you have the x73 suspension upgrade you will spend money on the car. I sold mine after modifying and bought a GT2 which was awesome. My GT2 was running 650+bhp and would see off my pals fireblade 1000. It all comes down to what you want from the car. 996 C4s with a PSE is a nice car. Normally aspirated and IMO massively underrated. I prefer the classic Porsches these days. 964 a great mix of modern and old. I hope you find something that makes you happy. Cheers Lee

![]() i was referring to the look of the car and not the drive. ive never driven a 993 ever! so wouldnt know what they drive like at all. they seem to hold good value, so there must be something about them that makes people pay so much for what seems not a lot of car (now you have aired your opinion, makes me wanna drive one!) but, i still think 993 look crap without the wide kit ![]() turbo's and GT2 model in 993 form are not really affordable at all (i dont really know if anyone can afford, or think of it as being a viable step up from an MC to a 993 turbo anyway) seems so out of reach with the prices, and doesnt look like they will ever drop! ![]() |

Hi Lee.
Just had a look through my 996tt brochure and no mention of the X73 suspension upgrade - is it OE lower/stiffer setup? How did you find running your 996tt, is it really suitable for everyday as mine would be used daily? Cheers Ian

The 996tt is a great everyday car. I just do not get on with forced induction. The 996tt was a bit soft for me which is why I say go for x73, which is lower and firmer. Find it on here http://www.carnewal.com/ If I were buying again I would want the following: Manual x73 x50 pack sports seats PCM2 Check for: Front rads leaky rear shocks clutch corroded turbos and turbo/exhaust bolts Get the running hours done to confirm mileage and get the rev ranges checked. A few choice mods and you can be running 500bhp. Cheers Lee
